Little Rock

Any suggestions for a first time visitor? Best area of town to stay that is safe and convenient? Good restaurants?

West Little Rock area is best

I like La Terraza Rum and Lounge, Petit & Keet, La Pasadita, El Palenque, The Root Cafe, The Pantry, Layla’s, Hill Station, and Rock N Roll Sushi

WLR and Shackleford are good areas to stay.

I agree on West Little Rock being the safest, most convenient area to stay in. As mentioned by PTH, Petit & Keet has great food and exceptionally crafted cocktails. I also highly reccomend 42 Bar & Table located in The Clinton Presidential Library, Cypress Social (owned by the same people that own Petit & Keet so you can't go wrong there), Trios for lunch, Brave New Restaurant, and The Faded Rose for a good casual cajun place.
