. The best place I can find so far has been the Hard Rock hotel/ casino. I love the latina's so I'm hoping to party with locals, my friend prefers white women. I guess I'm concerned that Hard Rock will only be other tourist and no locals. Where another place I looked at sounded like it was close to the local night spots, the hotel itself didn't seem to nice. Any suggestions would be appreciated on a nice place where we'll get a mix of both. Looking primarily at punta cana, but open to suggestions. Thanks!

Heading to DR at the end of the summer, need some advice on where to stay. I'm going with a friend of mine that does NOT hobby at all, so the hobby retreats are out of the question . If you want a great place to stay, go to La Romana. Check out the Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach. You can google the hotel for pics and rates. I promise you wont be disappointed.
You can get to La Romana on AA connecting through Miami. La Romana is a little off the beaten path than Punta Cana. Best comparison is how Playa del Carmen used to be compared to Cancun before the word got out and made it crowded.
