Backpage Adult Section is Going Away

I guess they're still working on it because the escort section still works, but the BodyRub section has gone down since this afternoon.

Washington, D.C. - As the direct result of unconstitutional government censorship, Backpage.com has removed its Adult content section from the highly popular classified website, effective immediately. For years, the legal system protecting freedom of speech prevailed, but new government tactics, including pressuring credit card companies to cease doing business with Backpage, have left the company with no other choice but to remove the content in the United States.

I think they are in the process of removing all of the adult section categories. Some sections still work in some areas, but I'm sure they'll all be down before long.

The ads still show in the Escort section but they go to the censored page. If you click on the link, Children of the Night are actually upset about this because they used Backpage to find children and Backpage helped tremendously. Now they'll be harder to find.

Plus I get the feeling we're about to get swamped with trash...

Another bad thing is the cops used Backpage to run ads. Now they don't have that avenue and will be looking for somewhere else.

Plenty of sites to use. But backpage isn't going away forever, LE uses it with cooperation from the site to help find under age trafficking. Just your new Conservative Republican Congress flexing its new power to legislate morals.
