Oh, fuck you, America. Nobody gave two shits about a big butt before the last couple decades except black men and women. It's just another culture you've appropriated, mostly out of convenience. When it started becoming financially beneficial for white women to have one, they wanted one. Fascinating article. Nice find OP. It leaves a lot of vital information out so I wouldn’t immediately jump to the conclusion that the bigger the ass, the healthier the woman, but still quite interesting. Of the 16000 women tested, I’d be interested to know:

- what are their exercise habits and diets? Are there any significant commonalities?

- how big is “big”? What a board like this equates as big is likely much different than what this study equates as big. The fact that the size range isn’t specifically called out is a big omission considering the nature of the study. They could be talking CrossFit ass while we are thinking giant badonkadonk man-eater ass.

- what is the ethnicity breakdown of those tested? Different ethnic backgrounds carry different health risks.

That’s all the geeking out I have in me at the moment.
