The best museums are in the arts & entertainment district of town. Western Museum of Western Art, Kimble Art Museum, Ft. Worth Museum of Natural History, all in the same spot. Just take the exit at I30 and University Drive and follow the signs. And the Japanese Gardens are on the way.

The museums are not too far from the stockyards where the West begins. It's highly commercialized now butt still worth a visit. And...not far from i35 n 820 fyi
