backpage on nightline

they did a 30 min show on the backpage on nightline friday night. did anyone see it? I saw it on tivo last night. I predict the back page will be going down soon with all the attention the media has given it. I have not been in this hobby long enough to know but was back page this big when craigs list was used more for this sort of advertising. Also before ECCIE did folks use the back page? when the site y'all used before eccie went down, how long was the community underserved online before eccie started?
Hell I remember when the only options were the back of the chronicle and the yellow pages.
Talk about hit n run providers.

A lot of the veterans here mention ASPD. I never knew about it. I started with the yellow pages (escort services) and the Chronicle and started hitting back page. Some girls had their reviews attached for TER and Eccie. Then joined those in 2010 because I couldn't read the good stuff in the reviews. Then joined p411.

There's a reason it's called "The oldest profession in the world"... lol
If they haven't already, they no doubt will someday dig up an ancient stone tablet showing offers from ladies to visit gentlemen at the coliseum during a show, or at their yurt later in the evening. lol

Unless the states or feds figure out a way to get past existing federal law and federal court decisions, BP and other sites are pretty much protected from LE efforts.

The federal law specifically exempts the web hosts from prosecution for what their users post.

That doesn't mean any host can skate clear and free of other laws such as those covering tax evasion, money laundering, drug and human and underage trafficking.

Worse, most sites like BP have very little security to safeguard those in the hobby who either post or otherwise use such sites.

And, even folks often considered as well "verified" or "legitimate" by a site or a local community can be compromised or go off the reservation, so to speak and turn on former comrades.

The entire internet is replete with scammers and jammers and LE is constantly developing new tools and techniques to compromise their targets.

Safeguarding your personal security starts with === YOU!
Even better for the BP crowd is that apparently bit coin isn't money.

So ladies, if you want to invest in your future start taking bit coin because it is not money.
This profession just needs to be legalized. End of story. Providers and hobbyists would be safer. LE can spend their resources on things that actually matter.

Read this article. It just reinforces that LE wastes their resources on this profession, when they could actually really be improving society.

Backpage's other forums lack the participation and potential to generate revenue in the same manner that Craigslist did at the time they were pressured.

Craigslist had a huge user base and several revenue streams that outweighed the attention they were getting.

i don't think backpage is going anywhere anytime soon.

I've seen Eccie, BP more than a few times, TER and even Eros featured on quite a few shows.
I started on BP, CL and Escorts.com before I knew what ECCIE, TER or many other sites were. I started in very early 2010.
