Is it tacky to ask?

Is it tacky to ask what became of a great long term provider? My greatest concern is that she is in a good place and just chose to exit ECCIE or the biz. I refer to (staff edit; removed mention of guested handle; ztonk) Saw her many times and always enjoyed the experience. I've been away for a while and now see that her profile is gone. Any PMs would be welcome.
