Prostitution busts 27 in Amarillo. New penalty coming

Effective September 1, 2021, the criminal penalty for Solicitation of Prostitution, Penal Code 43.021 (new statute), first time offense, will be a State Jail Felony. This increases the penalty from a Class B misdemeanor for the subject who offers or agrees to pay a fee to another person for the
purpose of engaging in sexual conduct with that person or another.

Your statement is not totally correct. Here is what the law will be:

Beginning September 1st, the arrested john will be charged with the new crime of “Solicitation of Prostitution” under Texas Penal Code §43.021 and will be facing a state jail felony or a 3rd degree felony sentence, and if a minor is involved, that of a felony of the second degree:

Amarillo Police put the people's faces on their Facebook page I presume before any sort of judicial judgment. It's great to see our government trying to ruin people before they get due process.

Penalty is 6 months to 2 years for first offense. This is a game changer. Harshest penalty in the US. Thank you Texas Republican legislature.
the dems could have walked out of the legislative session to prevent passage

My memory is that all arrests are public record and there is no expectation of privacy if one is arrested.
I copied it off the Amarillo Police Department Nixle report.
Where did all these Amarillo busts take place?

Gov Abbott is good friends with Trump & he passes this smh
I heard it was one of the massage places… Any info ?
I know one of the girls that they busted, she’s not involved with any massage parlor..could have been multiple locations though.
Given the pictures posted in the paper, it does not look to me like it was any of the massage locations.
