Lafayette for the Shutterbug?

Going to Lafayette on business, any thoughts on picturesque scenery, areas etc. for an avid shutter bug if I take an extra day or so in the area?

If you have time go down to Avery Island, you can drive through the park stop and take pics. I have done some Bridal shoots there. Have fun.

You can also go to the Longfellow-Evangeline State Park. I will also echo taking a trip to Avery Island. Their gardens are incredible.

Or maybe Lake Martin for something pretty close.

Go to Rib Van Winkle Gardens.... also not far from Avery Island....

Always cool to drive down to the islands.. Pecan Island, Forked Island, Cow Island..

St. Martinville Lake is nice.
