Making a trip to Mississippi..

First, do NOT actually stay in Jackson! The surrounding areas are considered Jackson Metro but are safer. Anything located inside of I-55, I-20 & I-220 are not good areas for a lady to be in. The interstates make a loop that is like a warning to all.

Look at Ridgeland, Pearl, Brandon, Flowood & Madison area hotels. Safe and plenty of places to eat.

There are several nice places to stay in tupelo. Most are going to be on Gloster Street. There's a holiday inn express, redroof, quality, la quinta, motel 6, days inn all within walking distance of each other. Let me know when you are going to be in Tupelo. I hope our schedules match up. I'd love to see you!

I agree and as a provider I stay in Ridgeland and there are several nice places and safe too. Stay out of Jackson for sure....

Serenity, I agree with everyone that says "stay out of Jackson". Ridgeland is one of the more popular areas to stay I think. When do you plan to come to Jackson? Would love to get together when you come... ;-)

Wat about Biloxi. Any good areas there and Is It worth it to travel there?

There are a lot of decent places to stay on the Coast. There are the casinos, if you get a weekday deal, decent hotels on US-90, suite hotels near the Gulfport airport, cheap hotels on US-49. And a couple nice hotels in D'Iberville and Ocean Springs at the I-10 exits. Just make sure you don't stay at a casino hotel that requires a key card for the elevator.

Is it worth visiting? You'll have to determine that from the replies. I'd certainly enjoy meeting you if our schedules work.
