Good Samaritan or Pimp? Helping someone down on their luck or taking advantage of someone who is in trouble?
Providers get into this business for many different reasons. For the sake of this discussion we will limit ourselves to the provider who is down on her luck and is doing this as a last resort. For lack of better terms out of desperation. Some come and go while some stay depending on their initial experiences.
Now as hobbyist's we run into these ladies. They share their stories. Some heart breaking to be sure. Some of these girls are in their situation because of the choices they made. But then there are those that had no control over how they got to where they are now. Victims of circumstances if you will.
So here is my question. I would NEVER offer the adult industries as an option. Adult films, stripping or hobbying would not be a recommendation I would give a young lady. If I found a lady down on her luck I certainly wouldn’t ask her if she wanted to fuck a few of my friends on line for some quick cash. I have no qualms patronizing a young lady who has already made up her mind to participate in this industry or is actively already participating in the industry. Those finding ladies not in the Industry and bring them to the Industry are typically loosely labeled pimps. I obviously patronize this Industry so does that make me and others like me a hypocrite?
Very interesting topic.

No, SL. Eating lamb and leading a sheep to slaughter are two different things. I personally couldn't do the latter.
On the other hand, when you meet ladies like this especially in your personal life, they're reaching out for help from you anyway. Whether you should help or how you help is on you. I've met people with hard luck stories too, and depending on the situation, I give them resources to the people who can help them, and give bus passes so they can look for work, and/or give them gift cards to grocery stores or WalMart so they can get the things they need.
It's all about where you met this person. Some ladies know that guys fall for hard luck stories. When I was 21, I had only been dancing a month when I met a guy in the strip club that actually let me drop him off at work so that I could use his car to get to my day job because he didn't want me dancing. He was a good guy, and never looked to take advantage of me, and my intentions were good. He would come and get me at 5:30am so he could be at work by 6, and I reported in at 7 for about a month. Once I got my own car, he made sure I was on his insurance to keep my costs low for about 6 months. Looking back, had I been a different type of girl, or had he been a different type of guy, I could see my situation going horribly wrong for either or both of us.
It's up to you to decide if you'd like to help a young lady, and in what capacity.
i hear stories of men going to SC and "recruiting" the young girls into the hobby. Not to help the girl but so he can brag and high five the other hobbyist. I think THAT is a form of pimping. No he doesnt get a percentage of her $..but he gets the bragging rights that he banged a barely legal girl and he was the one that brought her to hobby for others to bang.
Tiffani Jameson- I think that was a truly nice guy that did that.
Still Looking- I see the 666 and think sex sex sex too. LOL
I agree with your sentiments SL. That's why I always try to determine if she likes what she's doing. I can't see myself getting into it with someone who isn't genuinely enjoying themselves. Of course, they could be acting because, as the wonderfully thick and lovely Tiffani( WOW!!!!) said: some of us do fall for hard luck stories.
But I don't think you're a hypocrite unless you knowingly charge in to a situation where they're under duress. Even if it's for the light bill, I don't think I could do it if she wasn't already in it.

Devon is spot on. Fucktards go to the titty bars looking for the extras and OTC time with the dancers. There are hundreds of reviews on this topic.
Other fucktards prey on the desperate. Offering the lady a quick source of cash. Then he and his friends have their fun and then report it on SHMBs.
Everyone knows quick cash is dangerous. How many waiterstaff, dancers, and providers live day to day because of the quick cash?
Tiffani's experience would be more of the exception rather than rule. Tebow knows I wish I were wrong but ... I have had a tainted point of view long before I hobbied.

I don't think going to a strip club and looking to see how far one can go (in or out of the club) is taking advantage of the girl, or wanting to brag, or bringing her into the hobby. If she is stripping and giving VIP/lap dances, she's a provider already. She's made the conscious decision to use her body to make a guy cum for money. By allowing the guy to actually fuck her (in or out of the club), it just takes it to another level. I know that when I go to a strip club the intent is to get my rocks off. If I'm lucky enough to actually score with a girl-- bonus. In my mind, she was already predisposed to a sex for pay arrangement.
Now, having said that, I would never initiate the suggestion of a pay for play arrangement with a girl I knew was not in the industry (provider, stripping, etc). Even with a girl down on her luck for whatever reason, I wouldn't take the first step of suggesting she sell herself. Now, if she initiates the topic, then it is game on. It is her idea, and if she wants to go down that path, I would be willing to consider it.
Finally, I'm more than willing to give advice and pointers to any lady new to the hobby. The way I see it is like this. If she has made the decision to do this, I should be willing to help her out. The last thing I would want to see is someone new get taken advantage of. I've actually been helping a couple of local girls-- giving advice, pointing them in the right direction, etc.

I am not sure it's as fuzzy an area as it first seems.
I would never suggest to a lady that she enter the business.
If she approached me saying she was seriously thinking about it, I would talk her through the positives and negatives IF SHE ASKED.
Once she has decided she wants to do this, I would certainly talk with her about how to stay safe.
Once a lady has started working--and I have reason to believe it was voluntary--I see nothing wrong with seeing her, even if I know she was "desperate" and that's why she started. That is true to some degree of every lady. However if I knew her before she started working, I would be very reluctant to see her professionally. That's just me. One lady asked me to be her first client, and I did, but that was an unusual situation.
As long as you are not making a profit off of her providing then you are not a pimp. That includes her giving it to you for free just to get you to promote her to your buddies. As long as you keep paying her the normal rate and you gain nothing other than pleasure then no your not a pimp.
It seems most are concerned with mentioning p4p to a young lady in need. To coerce, intimidate, or intentionally mislead her into the underground world IMO would be wrong. To give her options and making sure she understands the consequences, would be informing her. Participating in p4p with a young lady that's willfully doing it would not make YOU a pimp. But on the other hand pimps ain't pimps because they like pussy, it's supply and demand for monetary gain.
It's a vicious world that consumes the uninformed so helping a girl out by giving her ALL of the information, you could possibly prevent her from being sucked in by the lowlifes. If she makes the decision to do p4p, it would at least be an informed choice..
Man, there's too much information on the internet about this industry for someone seriously considering it to not have any information. That in itself would be a red flag. If she doesn't have the smarts to do her own research in this day and age, she's a pimp's dream waiting to happen anyway.
When a lady between the ages of 18 and 25 mentions that she wants to get into the adult industry, the first thing that should be asked is what research have you done? If she's a stripper or thinking about stripping, she's getting/going to get her education from some pimp's girl in the dressing room. But with all the talk about Backpage in the news (that's if she bothers to watch) there should be at least some knowledge of the online escort scene.
For the most part, when a young girl corners you with a story about being kicked out, or something being cut off or broken down, they're really looking for you to offer. Most women who are whores in their real life look for the one guy who can be called on in a crisis. When she's going through her little spiel tugging at your heart strings, in the back of her mind she already knows she either WANTS to sleep with you, or if she's trying to get something for free. The last thing someone looking to get something for free wants to hear is 'you ever think about sex for money?'
