Today I tried to renew my SA account using a pre-paid VISA (which I have often done in the past). Today it was rejected as not allowing out of country purchases. I bought the same card I always have...anyone know what's up?

They have been finicky about this sometimes. I usually use a Vanilla Visa and put the necessary funds on it. Sometimes they have a button below that asks if it is a pre-paid card or not. I believe when they presented this, they send the cards thru another processor. Most of the pre-paids have a disclaimer on them that will say if they can be used for out of country deals or not. When SA got pissy with this, I messaged their customer service and they accepted payment through that. Just make sure that the card you have only has enough for the month, cant trust who is on the other end of that message.
Go to the mobile app, download it to your phone or device.that should work?
