God rest her soul. They were good people. 77 years of marriage bound to have done something right.

Rosie was a very unsung 1st lady. She didn't get the publicity of others but she did a lot of good work, especially with her emphasis on mental health issues, which are very much front and center today. In that respect, she was ahead of her time. Won't be long before Jimmy joins her.
Typical Democrat elitist she never worked a day in her adult life. Traveled the country lecturing for big government to buy votes for free services. The only good part is now her husband can get some fresh tail.

That is not say Carter was a good President, but he did believe in helping others with work he and his wife did with Habitat for Humanity.

Rosie was a good lady- and despite the fresh tail comment, she was one of the first ladies who actually asked for and got funding for a staff for the FLOTUS, and that continues on today. I'd say that she was one of the models of doing well for the sake of doing well, and selfless sacrifices she did for the betterment of the USA.

I don't see that happening in this or the Last administration. Perhaps the last one was GB's old lady Laura Bush and the work she did for global Literacy, Womens rights, global healthcare innovation, advancing economics for women and girls, and did volunteer work for the, national heart, lung and blood institue, american red cross and efforts to help women in afhanistan and Burma; And she was very involved in promoting womens health for cervical and breast cancer awareness domestically and abroad. She's been on the baords of the Salvation Army, the Smithsonian and a trustee on the national trust for historic preservation.

Those are the types of broads & what a first lady is all about, and a hard act to follow for a POTUS, let alone a FLOTUS. God speed Rosie- god's speed.

Jimmy said that every decision he made was with the full cooperation of his wife and credits her work for helping him.

If that is lounging around eating chocolate covered peanuts, that LP tell us what you have done for God and Country that is above what the Carters have done.
