what areas in dallas are good?

hello everyone! Im thinking of taking a trip to dallas soon and would like to know where some good, convenient, discreet, upscale locations would be. All responses are GREATLY appreciated!

Dallas Galleria area is a fairly central location or Uptown (near Downtown Dallas). My only advise to you is, stay out of Addison see my post; http://www.eccie.net/showthread.php?t=399741
Also, keep an eye on Alerts Dallas.
