First visit to the Panhandle

I will be visiting Pensacola and Destin soon. Can anyone suggest the best parts of town to stay that are convenient for locals? Obviously would love to stay on the beach but I know that's not the most practical choice.

Pensacol - Near the airport and on Creighton road across from BJ’s has some good hotels
If not there .. there are a few downtown

Destin prob gonna be tough as it’s vaca time for out of towners !

Yes, the hotels are extremely high in Destin right now, so prebooking is important

Might try Airbnb notice they are little less along the beach
