Escort drivers

Hey, first off, this is my first post. Sorry if this is the wrong area or if this is too direct or something. I recently moved to San Diego from spending a year in Washington after moving from Miami. In Miami I knew a friend who was an escort driver. Needless to say, the pay was pretty good. However, he got the job through already knowing the person. I'm curious how other escorts usually find their drivers. Do they ask people they already know as it was with him or is there a place they look for them.

Maybe a site specifically for it, or some kind of site verifying the person? I tried looking at agency sites and there aren't any posts for drivers so I'm curious I'm in school and got a renewed interest in it after seeing some scam pages advertising the job. Also, I'm back in a metro area so obviously there's high traffic in the area. I was wondering if there's any way a random person could become a driver or if it's more of a who-you-know thing.

If I put too much information, feel free to delete and message me what I did wrong. Otherwise, thanks a lot in advance for any answers.

Run an ad in the local alternative paper. The offers will fly in.

Try an ad on this website on the Services for Providers forum

Could it be that most drivers work for the agency or the pimp rather than for the lady?

I've thought about it. Being a martial artist, professional courier driver, having bouncer at a strip joint and night clubs experience, and a bit of a knight in white shiny armor complex. Even mentioned it 'jokingly' to my wife who said it sounded up my alley and cool with her when I saw an ad on CL (before they removed 'adult gigs'..she didn't ask where I was looking).. though it was bogus, scary actually.. phone # went to a recording of a real speazy sounding dude explaining how he didnt trust his girls and wanted a driver to make sure he got his share of the money and wanting a huge 'deposit' up front so the driver wouldnt run off with the girls and/or the money... Um , yeah Guido, tanks but no tanks.

Though as an independent occasional gig, could be exciting and interesting, my main concern of course would be about spending my entire paycheck at the 'company store' so to speak.

Ladies of San Antonio.. any interest?
There is no way I could even consider affording one!

Little too much mileage to OKC any Tiff, but if you're ever on an Alamo City vacation adventure, could show ya around for barter
I USED to employ one, but most of my clients now are "regs", so no worries. But, in talking with fellow Companions, I've found it's usually someone they already know and trust, and is capable of protecting them.
Rates vary like anything else, but primarily IMHO it's all about trust and reliability. I think the sugg. to put an ad here is the best idea yet, if you don't already know someone personally. Expect to be heavily screened, though, and be careful, screen her FIRST!.
The issue seems to be finding something genuine. I found one phone number that took me to a recording of a woman explaining the gig. Drive escorts and topless dancers to buildings and homes. 26/hr then $100 bonus for 0-40 miles and $200 for 40-80 miles, paid by the escort or dancer. The phone number was from Boston. I tried looking around for it. Found another ad in Los Angeles with the same number. Advertised that it was looking for escorts for Boston and Los Angeles, then at the end added they were looking for drivers too.

The recording mentions a $700 deposit. I think it's called Air America Entertainment. Can't tell perfectly. Then it gives two numbers to call if you're ready to deposit the $700 within an hour of speaking to them. I haven't called those numbers yet so I can't tell if there's a person and a place to drop it off at or if it's another Western Union gig. There's a number whose area code traces to Los Angeles and one for Boston, so as far as I've checked it seems to connect in a good way. The other ads I've seen, you search their number and there's scam pages all over the place. I can also give a phone number in case anyone know if it's legit or not.

My questions are, (a) is it usual to expect to pay a deposit like that driving for an agency, (b) would agencies consider someone as a driver if I just send a random email offering to drive for them, and (c) do people who drive for agencies actually show up somewhere or is it all done by phone calls and texts?

Personally, I'd much rather drive for an agency than an independent. I don't know how to do background checks on anyone. However, either way, the job seems like a ludicrous deal for me using the GI bill and being in college. What bothers me is asking for $700 when that doesn't seem like much of a security deposit if their drivers make that in less than 2 days.

I also don't understand the whole thing about putting ads in newspapers. I'm not really sure how newspapers are organized (I read news from MSN and Yahoo, personally) so aren't quite sure what 'alternative newspapers' means. I'd really like to drive a job like this, but there's so many scams and so few ways to find information (even on the internet, go figure) that I can't even get started. I'm not trying to look lazy as if I haven't tried to find this stuff out on my own, but to me it seemed after looking around, I'd get the best answers by going to a forum.
I myself have a driver,i do it for my own safty,if the client has in issue then i just dont go makes me think well wtf,i also see it from their point no reason someone else should know where they life, for me it just so someone else knows where i am at all times.Yet my driver and my client never meet unless client wishes to.I am not saying all but as we all know, there are many wierd and scary people out in this world so why take the chance of one just so happen to slip threw and no one else knew.I pay my driver per job not per mile.yes you could just post in your local providers ISO forum and see what ya get.
THose other ones that talk about you pay them was nothing more then a scam to get money out of people it was nothing but bull.I remember reading it and thinking why would someone pay to have a job? now that makes about as much sence as handing a blind man your car keys to your new BMW and say take her for a spin!!!
I hate to drive.. especially in a city I'm not familiar with. Offer the gig to traveling ladies. Let's say I was visiting San Antonio, I would be willing to hire you as my personal taxi honestly. Not knowing traffic patterns, construction zones, or where the hell 123 Nowhere Street is drives me nuts and honestly I would rather call a taxi then try to drive myself. For that matter, I would rather hire someone like you (if trusted) rather than a taxi.
I don't personally know of the ad you mentioned, but I'd be really hesitant about a $700 deposit to anyone. Three is a forum here for advertising to the Companions regarding your services. I'd start there. The "alternative" newspapers are usually found near clubs, some gas stations, etc, it's a "NIGHT LIFE" sort of newspaper, found in every metropolis I've been in, look around. Screening is paramount in this biz, so I'd also start learning how to do that. PM me for more details. Good luck!

I'll keep this brief and say this doesn't apply to all situations or individuals, but:

This is not something to enter into lightly. You expose yourself to a great deal of risk: legally and safety-wise. And consider unlike being a direct player in this biz (as a escort or client) you don't control a lot of the risk management functions like screening.

Finally if you think you might get some fringe benefits like free sessions, you might, you might not, but if you do cross that line you are entering into her personal life & all the drama that comes with it (I'll just leave it at that).
