Downtown McKinney is pretty cool... The Celt is an irish pub, kind of a dive bar if you're into that. There's a breakfast/brunch spot called layered that becomes a speak easy at night. The whole downtown is super walkable with restaurants and boutiques, etc. If karaoke is your thing, End Zone on El Dorado gets pretty packed on Fridays and Saturdays.
