DEFINITION OF CURVY

Anyone that has curves(a lovely coke bottle/hourglass shape) and does not look like a 2X4 (straight down) on both sides. I was a little upset reading someones comment and they stated their opinion of curvy is someone that is on the border of being fat. I consider myself to be curvy. So lets start the opinions on this subject
I would agree with you curvy is somewhere between a carpenters dream (flat as a board and easy to nail) and fluffy. curvy is a women with curves now I know I'm my mind it covers a lot of different body types. now ms destiny you have beautiful curves from what I see in the pics even though I have not had the pleasure of see them in person :-)
Destiny, I've seen you many times and think you're sexy as hell. I've heard too many obese women with flat butts describing themselves as curvy, which for me kills any sex appeal the word may have had. I know, I know, I sound like an asshole. I was the one who made the statement about curvy being a step away from being fat.
I love curvy women. I am a bigger guy and sometimes feel like I might break the spinners. So destiny is my ideal curvy woman. Or something like this.

I couldn't resist giving my two cents here. Granted every person has different tastes and preferences, but overwhelmingly my clients that have achieved the most success in their careers can be described as curvy. And let's not forget the most iconic sex symbol of our time is Marilyn Monroe; a lady that would be considered chubby in today's view.

If you look at magazines like Cosmo or Glamour et al, you see models that in some cases look like prepubescent boys and drag queens rather than ladies. Society/marketing is pushing this notion that thin is in and it's seriously affecting our young generation. Their perception of what should be "normal" is distorted.

Meanwhile, the hottest pin ups from hot rod magazine covers to Maxim to posters; all market and promote curvy women.

Bottom line; regardless of what we look like, let's respect one another..

It's very subjective. We all have our own internal opinions of what we consider skinny, too skinny, avg, curvy, thick, fat.
And when your view contradicts that of someone else, that's where problems begin.
For me, it happens a lot, because I see a lot of women refer to themselves as curvy or thick or big boned...and they are just flat out fat and obese. It's the super sizing of America. You go to a fast food place and order the small or med or regular...it's the size the XL was 10 yrs ago...
Seems people are doing the same with their perceptions of their size. And understandably so. They like to think of themselves in a positive light. Especially when selling their wares...in this case their body in this hobby.
For me curvy or thick implies a woman who has hips, a bit of a butt and breasts and is shapely. She is semi solid...I'm not expecting 5% or less body fat, but I'm also not expecting things flowing all over the place. And that's where the problem seems to lie most often. Curves imply muscle and bone structure mostly creating the symmetry and curves. Not love handles spilling over the top of your jeans.
For me, I would describe many strippers and porn stars as thick or curvy. They have athletic feminine forms often times. You're not going to grab an ass or a thigh or their back or an upper arm and come away with a handful of flesh...they're solid, not gooey.
Some people are just bigger than others, it's how you carry yourself, how you're put together. You're squishy and gooey, you're probably not curvy or thick in my book. Might be in others, it's a subjective game. Take care of yourself, put down the fast food, get some exercise and it's typically a moot point.
But this is something that has intrigued me lately. Primarily off dating sites...where you see the super sizing of America in full effect. Online dating is where today's avg or curvy or a little extra is yesterdays fat or obese. Interesting stuff. Thanks for spurring some debate on the boards Destiny!!
I love discussions like this

Lol!! Great graphic, I'd agree with most of those. But to me, #18-21 are just fat and it's a matter of the level of fatness. Any other name for it...again, this is subjective and in my view...you're just playing semantics and tip toeing around what honestly is unattractive (to me at least) and a growing health issue personally and societally.
Good stuff!!
just when i thought i figured out what my body type was ,now i see all these deffinitions on what curvy is... im w destiny on this one.... so im sticking w im curvy.. i think...... lol

Never thought of curvy having much to do with weight more about shape. You can be a bigger woman and curvy or "spinner" and curvy.

IMO curvy is a matter of personal opinion. What I consider curvy is not what another may.
Some guys use curvy to define a girl because he doesn't want to insult or offend by saying she has more weight on her than the other.
I personally don't mind curvy as long as shit isn't hanging out and over where it shouldn't be. And I'll go one further, I personally think stretch marks on a girl are a HUGE turn on for me. Similar to my armpit fetish!
Show me stretch marks on a nice set of boobs and I'm having a blast with them!!
Most women that describe themselves as curvy are fat imo. Women who describe women who are thin as 2x4's are usually fat. I've seen destiny and I don't think she's huge but def fat. my definition of curvy is someone in shape, flat stomach, firm ass, no saddle bags, but has hips and breasts.
