As far as the Horns being "ranked" in the Top 25 for prior to the start of the 2017 season....my question, as soon as the polls came out, was "my heavens....based on what"?

This team is coming off consecutive 5-7 campaigns, right? Isn't this essentially the same bunch of guys who lost to Kansas and then was drummed by TCU, both in late November of last year? Other than the coaching staff, what else has changed?

Based upon the lack-of-talent...which is glaringly obvious....on both the O and D lines, what made any of the so-called "football experts" believe this team, to a man, would be better (in just nine scant months)?

The polls were wrong, of course, to include Texas. This school is still a long ways from fielding a Top 10, Top 25 legit team, capable of winning a championship. Time will only tell if Tom Herman is the man to do it.

And of course A&M, feeling insufficient, had to go one up.

Two programs that are migrating toward irrelevance in college football , TU and AM.

The Longhorns, on the other hand....well, if they don't figure out their defensive and special teams woes, it could be another difficult post-game media session for coach Herman....
