Who said that? Trump? No,but can you imagine if he did? What a heartless thing to say right?

So who said it? Why Gov. Cuomo in response no less to all the deaths in nursing homes. He also said, with a "wink" ( Chung Tran ) that nobody should be prosecuted for these deaths. This coming from the guy who just might ( who am I kidding, naw ) get prosecuted for these deaths under a "disregard for human life" law.

Cuomo says no one in New York should be prosecuted for Coronavirus deaths, including those in nursing homes.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo on Sunday addressed the state's early response to the coronavirus outbreak and said "nobody" should be prosecuted for the those who died, noting that "older people" were most vulnerable. The governor has been criticized for a decision in March, which has since been reversed, to send patients back to nursing homes after they tested positive for COVID-19.

More than 4,800 people died from COVID-19 in nursing homes in the state between March 1 and May 1, according to a tally released by the Cuomo administration on May 1. Cuomo has called nursing homes a "feeding frenzy" for the coronavirus.

"Despite whatever you do, because with all our progress as a society, we can't keep everyone alive," Cuomo said.

Imagine Trump saying that and the "feeding frenzy that would follow on the front page of every rag in America

The number of deaths in New York state dropped again Saturday to 139 people. When asked about the nursing home deaths, Cuomo noted the 139 people who died on Saturday and asked who is accountable for everyone who died.

"How do we get justice for those families of those 139 deaths?" Cuomo said. "Who can we prosecute for those 139 deaths? Nobody. Mother Nature, God, where did this virus come from? People are going to die by this virus, that is the truth."

When pressed further about how some people thought their loved ones would be safe because of Matilda's Law, Cuomo continued to stress the point that older and more vulnerable people were "always going to die from this virus."

Again, imagine Trump saying that

He said when talking who is accountable for deaths, the most important thing was to make sure "you can have a situation where everyone did the right thing and everyone tried their best."
Cuomo said his top priority was making sure the medical system did not get overwhelmed, calling that a "accountable, avoidable situation."

Governor Cuomo walks back comments on nursing home deaths, calls seniors "a top priority"

About one-third of COVID-19 deaths in the U.S. are connected to nursing homes. That's according to new data submitted to the government from more than 15,000 nursing homes.

Sunday, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said point blank older people are going to die from the virus, "despite whatever you do."

That angered a lot of people--especially since New York let the nursing homes accept patients who had tested positive back into their facilities. Governor Cuomo said Sunday he didn't think they'd be alive regardless.

OH! NO HE DIDN"T said with sarcasm! Now imagine the front page of every rag in America if Trump had said that!

Close to 23,000 people in the state have died from the coronavirus, and 25% of them have been in nursing homes.
In Monday's press briefing, the governor wasted little time carefully walking back the impression he might have left Sunday that nursing home residents were not a priority.

He reminded New Yorkers he had instituted testing twice a week for staff members at nursing homes despite push back from the homes themselves.
"Protecting our nursing homes and our seniors has been a top priority. Last week I put a requirement in place that staff at nursing homes be tested twice a week...all staff," the Governor said. "You will always have people who say we should do more, that always happens

Yeah, it happened with you and the entire Democrat party against Trump

and by the way now they're complaining we're doing more and they want it both ways.

Didn't Trump say that?

You cant have it both ways."

Governor Cuomo said in order to test nursing home staff twice a week, he is sending 320,000 test kits to those facilities this week. He wants to conduct 35 thousand tests a day.

The governor says no other state is doing this and that New York state has the most aggressive standard in the nation.
Monday he called nursing home residents “our senior family members who we owe nothing but gratitude and respect.”

Reckless disregard?

Reckless Disregard

In addition to a killing that is intentional, but not premeditated, second-degree murder can also result from a defendant who acts to cause serious bodily harm. In such circumstances, although the defendant does not necessarily intend to kill, he or she acts to cause harm with the full knowledge that death might result.

I think Gov. Cuomo just admitted that death might result and did it anyway. If Cuomo doesn't have automatic immunity under the guise of "can't be charged by an official act he is empowered to do and therefore immune", I think the Gov. may have a legal problem on his hands whether "he" thinks "nobody" should be prosecuted or not.

I’ve been thinking about what Pelosi said, re: President Trump is fat. Can you imagine the epic media firestorm had he said the same thing about, for example, Stacy Abrams. ‘I’m worried about Ms Abrams because she’s black and morbidly obese.’ (both true and actual risk factors)

Oh my. Heads would fucking EXPLODE.
Gov Cuomo is responsible for the Cuomocaust financially and criminally.
