Thank you for that, an honest response. But yes I've been through it all in my head. And I work in a business environment so I'm basically all suits.
But you're right screening would be interesting, and I'd like to think I'd be "low volume" hahha but of course there are ups and downs. I'm just looking for a side hobby to make some cash and this idea popped in my head.
But I also heard about the popularity being higher in the areas you listed...
Thanks again ---
Alas, tbone is pretty much right. I've known a few male escorts and they were all bi, which gave them a much broader appeal and client base. Straight male escorts in Texas are uncommon, perhaps because their counterparts on the East and West Coasts evidetly do far better business in a more open-minded environment. (Maybe you can find some rich cowgirls and old oil money heiresses?)
Also, your venues for advertising locally will be more limited. ECCIE doesn't seem to have any area for gigolos, nor does TER or Eros that I'm aware of. That pretty much leaves Backpage, CityVibe, and other more risky ad sites. I've heard about a site called RentMen. I guarantee that you will get lost of requests from other guys, however.
Male escorts are expected to more spend time on a lady's arm in public than female ones, so be prepared. You'll need more wardrobe than just a pair of skin-tight Jokeys.
Think this through carefully. Read the complaints the professional ladies have made on ECCIE and reverse them. Do you want to deal with such rigmarole? What about screening?
Being a provider is not all sunshine, roses, and endless pleasurable sex with supermodels. You won't find it profitable, especially starting out, if you limit yourself only to a narrow range of women, so you're going to have to be really open-minded. Ready for that?
