Very interesting! We raised Arabians when I was growing up and knew many of the KC “Family “. John Amero was like an uncle to me. He was gunned down while getting his newspaper from the driveway a Sunday morning in the late 70’s. It was a war in every sense of the word. Many Kansas Citians have no idea that this city was a huge go between for Vegas and the east. That war and the federal prosecutions that followed change Vegas forever.
