TOR

Why are you blocking it?

I was told to use it when I am on public / hotel networks.

Anonymizers, VPN, TOR, and proxy servers are prohibited from use on the site. Previously they were banned manually when discovered but security measures have been tightened recently and much of it is now automatic.

Feel free to use your home ISP, mobile carrier, or public WIFI to access the site. Anonymous browsing on ECCIE is becoming a thing of the past.

Sorry for the inconvenience....

It's not just this site.
Almost all real world commercial sites will be going the same way. It's simply a security thing as a fair amount of net hack attacks have traveled though anon sites including those that DED mentioned.

Understand.

Preferred using it when on public / hotel wifi as an additional protection if someone is hacking their site.

Thanks for info

The one sure "workaround" from using TORs, etc., is to use your cell phone data.

Either use the smart phone directly or use the smart phone as a "hot spot" wi-fi and connect your hardware to your personal wi-fi.

Your IP will show as that of the cell carrier and unless there has been serious crap originating on that IP address you should be able to connect.

Hope that helps.
But using your cell phone eats up your data like CRAZY lol
