Is this area safe enough and central enough to night life?
First time in Houston and looking for area to stay/avoid.

How far from airport is your max distance? What type of night life? Will you have a car?
Avoid Greenspoint (locally known as Gunspoint) area.
Spring, Woodlands, Willowbrook all around 20 minutes or so from the airport.
Galleria area, depending on time of day, 35 minutes give or take.

What type of nightlife are you talking about ?
There are a few strip clubs & nightclubs near that area but it's the suburbs.
If you want to be close to all the big city offerings I recommend staying near city centre, it's close enough to everything.
