As for whether Trump inspired the events of Jan 6 we don't need a courtroom to figure that out he flat out claimed the Democrats were trying to commit treason. Words do matter which is why you used 'witch hunt' to describe the effort to hold Trump accountable and he absolutely knew the potential for violent outbursts following his calls to action.
