Yep , all the girls quit participating the ugliness that is coed a long time ago. It's a bunch of dudes sword fighting now. Do tell where are the cool, tolerant fun folks moving? We are tired of the drama and tired of judgemental mean grumpy guys.

Actually, it is quite easy to tune out those who self identify as a-holes.
As I instruct those who attend social events,
"Expect respect; give it in return, and let me know immediately if there are issues."
But of course, all invitees are both well-screened and vouched, and also pledged to respecting the event rules.
Those who find it difficult to comply (or apply) are left on the outside.
Used to be, respect among providers and among hobbyists, was very common.
Some folks just don't got manners.
