Religion and the hobby

I have seen many times references to going to church so I pose these question...I am more a spiritual person as compared to religious and I was raised catholic...so my question here is for those of you who attend church how do you handle or feel about the fact you are breaking on of the 10 commandments thou shall not commit adultery? and according to the bible us ladies are the damned..so do you ask for forgiveness for your "sins" and than keep repeating them? How do you deal with your religious believes and the hobby....I personally feel the hobby is a gift from the above that does alot of good for all.....

I have nothing against religion but we all are doing things in the hobby that's against any religion. Have been wondering if the churches did accept birth control would the birth rate go down in the country? Oh well we will never know because the Health Plan for birth control got shot down by Congress.
we are not the only ones...every human does something that goes against some religion...it is important that we are just having fun and not hurting anyone....

By the way, in order to commit Adultry, marriage has to be in the picture. Since I am a Widower, I am a Fornicator.

You know, I've always been an atheist at heart (more precisely in brain). But this thread prompted me to do a web search. Low and behold, I am saved. I have found religion!

I think some people think "if they get away with it.... it is not wrong." So, how many pastors, priests, clergymen know that I do this... None so I am getting away with it, thus, it is not wrong. I never run a red light until a cop catches me, that simple.

My personal belief on religions is that they use rules, interpretations, bible readings, etc. to create fear or guilt. In turn to contorl our actions. Personally I do not think that is very religious, but it is MHO.

I believe in God and I also believe I am doing nothing wrong in this hobby, I am single, I have no GF at the time, The lady I pay is consenting to my activities, I am consenting to hers. So, what is the prbolem? who am I harming?

Was it not a whore that washed Jesus' feet and cried and beggde for forgiveness? And what he do? Jesus forgave her. The difference is in your heart. I believe God knows when you are tryiong to negotiate or not genuine in asking for for forgiveness. If I say I am sorry for running a red light but do it in the next block, I truly was not sorry. God knows our hearts and if a person wants to repent of something done wrong, I believe God forgives. For example if I drive home after being at the bar all night and I pray to God to get me home without a DWI and safely but I go out a month later and do the same stupid shit again, I was never really repentful, I believe God doe snot bargain, but is merciful. I also believe two consenting adults having sex even when money is involved is not wrong, no harm no foul!! Adultery is a whole different issue. Harm can be caused there, but again "If I can get away with it am I doing wrong?" That is up to each individual, I do not judge at all, just me.
...woohoo....very well said....

That being said, I don't consider being a provider to clash with my beliefs. I grew up in a religious-free household. My father's family were among the first Japanese American Christians, my mother's family staunchly traditional Buddhist, but I was raised to pick my own, and at 12, I was baptized as a Catholic because I was in Catholic parochial school. Since I was a little kid. I see no problem between my faith, ( languishing as it is) and my provider status.

wow this is a tender topic. But in my opinion your either fully devoted to the church and its ways or your really bullshitting your way through religion making your own preferences along the way. I do think people should do research at any point, attend service, and when its the right time make the ultimate change. But for some its like mike epps says...."I want to devote my life to God, but I gotta get this money first......."

Let's say your churchs youth pastor was arrested or caught seeing prosiitutes (gender of provider not important). I'm predicting based on the responses thus far, you wouldnt find an issue with him keeping his job and offering his continued mentorship and influence on your kids.

You can't just have picks and choosies on the religious beliefs that work for you that cater and conture to your lifestyle......your either all in or not, no matter what religious beliefs you have. No one has firsthand account of what will be permissablee to avoid hell at the pearly gates, hopefully you picked the right one, but there are hundreds out there.....some willling to die and become suicide bombers for.

And spare me the mary magdaline debate.....if instead of washing jesus's......(hold on let me capatalize so I don't go to hell) Jesus feet and comforting him she instead stood on an altar for foot support gave him a handjob or bj on the cross to help take his mind away from the pain he would have forgave her as well.

Look in wikipedia under "sacred prostitution".

Christianity and joyful, guilt-free, for-fun sex just don't seem to mix.

Sure they do ... just do both in moderation.

I'm wearing a condom, so I'm not committing adultery. And we learned from Bill Clinton that oral sex isn't sex.

In the bible times, women didn't have many rights. They were considered the property of their husbands. If you were a man, having sex with a married woman was considered adultery because she "belonged" to another man. On the other hand, having sex with a single woman was not considered adultery because she didn't belong to anyone.

Sounds fair to me.... all yall ladies are single... right?
