A group of whites were brutally attacked. Far outnumbered being suckered punched and trying to leave the mob kept attacking with cheers from their peers. All over facey and tweety. No liberal has come out and condemned this.

As I understand it the brawl began when a group of white boaters engaged in a discussion with a black dock worker turned physical as one of them hit him. A group of white people beating on a black employee because their boat could not be docked quickly that erupts into a brawl will be hard to frame as hate crimes against white people.

Excuse me. When they are severely outnumbered and get gang jumped and held back so they can't flee to safety. Videos show low down suckered punches one after another. All while the crowd cheers with many racist remarks.

The entire idea of “hate crimes” is completely retarded. It makes no difference if I shoot someone because I want their wallet, or if it’s because I “hate” them. They’re still just as dead, one reason should be no less punished than the other. Something done because of hate is impossible to prove. There isn’t currently a mind reading device I’m aware of. One would have to assume the motive, the Justice system doesn’t (shouldn’t) do that.

We don't have charges yet and the video I have seen shows a brawl so an investigation needs to happen. I think jumping to some conclusion based on skin color only serves to get people emotional without really knowing what to be mad about. It is possible both groups share the same responsibility but it makes sense that some individuals did more than others and should be held to stiffer consequences.

I am waiting for some more information and evidence before getting too worked up about it one way or another. Right now the headling for me reads 'Group of boaters attack dock worker, brawl ensues'
