How many out there wear a watch? That goes for men and woman. Out of those that wear watches are they worn for just the utilitarian need to tell time , both time and a fashion statement or mainly a fashion statement? I've always been a watch freak. Probably own a dozen wrist watches , not to mention my pocket watch collection,for telling timeand fashion and I just love the mechanical aspect of a fine watch not to mention many are works of art.

Watches huh? At one point I use to collect them and had 60-70 of them. It sort of became an obsession kind of like how many providers or strippers are enough to play with, lol. Some were very old fully restored antique watches, some more modern high-end ones, some inexpensive casual ones, even had a bunch of character watches made by Fossil. The majority were quartz movement and replacing batteries became a constant pain. I'd pull the stem out on most when I wasn't wearing them to conserve battery life because when you have 60+ watches how often are you going to wear each.

Eventually I ended-up losing interest and cashed-out on eBay with most of them. Now I'm down to probably 15 or so. I use to wear a watch all the time but haven't for years now due to constant texting or answering texts and seeing the time on my phone. Unless I need to be somewhere at a specific time and that event is very important to me I don't usually wear one.

Interesting topic you brought up, about a week ago I was wondering if the watch business might be down due to the economy and people realizing they have the time on their cells.

I have had the same watch for 12 years that my Grandma bought for the hell of it - gotta love grandparents! Well the watch battery went dead but I still wore it until one of my stripper friends got tired of it being dead so she took my watch and got a battery put in it. That was 5 years ago and now it's been dead for awhile til I find someone else to get a new battery for it!

Some things are just not as important to me, I guess.
