I have a friend who was busted in a sting. The add that he responded to was on back page no surprise on the sting. But after talking to him about the add he stated that add stated no black men wired in that fassion. Can LE desrciminate like that even if he if convicted on the solicitation charges could he sue for disrinstion or targeting ?

Would you please translate your post into English? Thanks.
Most state and federal courts have refused to suppress evidence that came from an LE who lied, misrepresented who they were, played active role in simple or elaborate deceptions.

However many decades after pot is legalized, the hobby will also come out of the shadows and, somehow benefit the tax man that might be decades off, but that's not the point.

The point is that AFER the hobby becomes legitimized, legalized then (and maybe not until then) will it be harder to maintain open NBA policies.

If and when that ever happens, expect cops to lie, deceive and of course: discriminate.

Cant the black guys get a break for once? kudos to the cops on excluding them from the sting lol jk jk

They only put that crap to sound like a real ad... im sure they would have invited over anyone who called....
it's odd but who knows for sure.

What sucks is down here in San Antonio (not sure about other places) they will splash your picture and information all over the news for being accused. Not convicted, accused.
I've been wondering if it was permissible for LE to put an NBA restriction in a wrong ad. It seems improper to me. Not that cops don't do things that are improper. But I've off wondered if it would hold up to constitutional scrutiny. Hummm. I'd love to look at all the facts of that case and the sting operation.

Also curious to see if their justification is placing a parallel ad that more specifically targets AAs.

Or...if it's a constitutional moot point because they are already targeting males and not females.
(Long-time lurker -- my first post!)

Here's a recent incident where an entire police department would fabricate a lie about a 911 call coming from a house they wanted to search but didn't have a warrant. The lie involved asking the resident if they could come in to make sure nothing was wrong:

http://www.indyweek.com/indyweek/dur...nt?oid=4201004

Several Durham police officers lied about non-existent 911 calls to try to convince residents to allow them to search their homes, a tactic several lawyers say is illegal. The officers targeted residences where individuals with outstanding warrants were thought to be living, and told them that dispatch had received a 911 call from that address, when no such call had been made...
Read this article and then get really, really mad.

Another ruse cops will use, especially during a traffic stop, is to turn around the search question in order to gain "consent."

"May I search your car?" "No" means "No."

"Would you mind if I took a look in your trunk?" "No" means "Yes."

Remember: If a cop has to ask for your consent, either truthfully or by lying, he doesn't have probable cause to search in the first place. Don't make his job easy.

I'm not even sure that in this case it would be discrimination but even if it is the ad itself is set up for an illegal act. If the courts allow that, and make no mistake they do, do you really think that they would throw it out on a civil technicality?

By the way for the guy who is upset that they list your name if you are accused, not convicted but accused, well guess what? That's going to happen no matter the crime. Check your paper or TV news, so and so arrested for DUI, so and so arrested for possession, why not so and so arrested for prostitution?

I say it over and over, this hobby is illegal (in the US except in brothels in specific counties in Nevada). As long as the laws are on the books, and I really don't think that's going to change anytime soon, it will remain that way. As they say if you can't do the time don't do the crime. If an arrest is going to ruin your life, you'll lose your job, your family and your friends, then you either have to be very careful or maybe seek another way to get sexual release. You pays your money, you takes your chances.

But by all means if your friend wants to challenge the legality of this ad go ahead. It will probably cost a lot of money and if he thinks that he'll remain anonymous he's crazy but who knows?
Can do what they want. It will later be up to a jury after if they arrest you.
I'm certain blacks could sue that PD for not being included in the sting...
How did they get him?

I had the unfortunate privledge of walking into a sting but got spooked and got out and no one ever came and picked me up.

Was in Nacogdoches, I think they were using a legit escort as the bait, I never ever discuss money in a meeting. She asked me what I wanted, and I stayed with abstracts saying like "I am just here to relax" but she wouldnt quit trying to get me to say what I wanted then she tried the "well $150 and you get a blowjob" and I remained silent and she ask "Are you okay with that?" I tell her I think we have a misunderstanding, she then ask "Well that is what the money is for right? You came here for blah fucking blah"

That is when I knew I was knee deep in some shit guaranteed. Could hear my own heart pounding face was getting boiling hot and I knew it was time to flee the coup. I said "What in the hell is going on here? I came for a massage, not to try and be upsold and offered services I am leaving"

Speed walked to my truck, as I got in and threw it in reverse I saw the room next door open and 3 guys walk out, and just stare. I'm like fuck here we go. But they just watched me pull out and leave. I figured they had wrote down my plates and waited for them to show up but they never did. I went by again later on that same day and I saw a cop car out front with a john in the back, and the same room I was in 5 hours before opened.

Quit hobbying for a good bit after that.

Pipeliner, you're a prudent man, and the way you dealt with a dangerous situation should serve as an example to your fellow hobbyists.
