Boomvang avatar- unless sadly mistaken- photo is of gargoyle at top level of Bell Tower of Cathedral Notre Dame. Looking out to Eiffel tower in distance and University of Paris Descartes in nearer foreground . One climbs century old spiral stairs worn down by the thousands of feet up to the top level to see this.
A bit like the stairs in the Statue of Liberty ( a gift of the French).
