Smokey got his nickname from his love of cowboy movies.

The Kinks - You Really Got Me
Van Halen - You Really Got Me
Ozzy Osbourne - Miracle Man
Deep Purple - Smoke On The Water
Boston - Smokin'
Toto - Hold The Line

All have been posted.

Wouldn't be surprised -- considering how popular it is/was -- if the song below was posted by our Honorable OP (if not someone else), but, fortunately for me, he (YOU, PT ) doesn't type the name of the artist or song in his posts....and I can't search for text that isn't actually present in this thread. There aiin't no tellin' how many times this has worked to my benefit -- at least in my [warped ] mind.

Nonetheless, I am amazed.....and a little proud (especially considering how bad my memory is) that for about my first 1,100+ posts here, I was able to recall a fitting song off of the top of my head that hadn't already been posted at least 95% of the time (with consideration of what I state above...of course). Now it's well below 50%....I'm pretty-well tapped. Youtube "suggestions" are now becoming my friend for this thread. I'm still having fun, though
Peace out.

Wouldn't be surprised -- considering how popular it is/was -- if the song below was posted by our "Honorable OP"(read as "Old Fart"), (if not someone else), but, fortunately for me, he doesn't type the name of the artist or song in his posts....and I can't search for text that isn't actually present in this thread Ain't no tellin' how many times this has worked to my benefit. that old codger sure doesn't! I'd tell him about it if I were you.

LOL, I try to ad a graphic of the album cover or label when I can, but since we want to keep everyone here happy the S & G link in this reply is for;
"The Boxer, by Simon and Garfunkel"....... is that better Davo?? Just messin' with ya, I don't know the "script" to add a pic or title to a link by heart, and my "template" is on my desktop computer. So anythime you see a nameless and faceless "link" you know I was probably working from my laptop and be "discreet" at the same time. Guaranteed that the "w" was around or I was laid out on the couch typing it that is the case...

Nonetheless, I am amazed.....and a little proud (especially considering how bad my memory is)(ditto for the three of us for sure) that for about my first 1,100 posts here, I was able to recall a song off of the top of my head that hadn't been posted at least 95% of the time (with consideration of what I state above...however). Yeah I think we did damned good just look at the number of replies. Quite a bit with most done from memory. If you don't put a title on it folks HAVE to open it to see what it is to post a next one that makes sense. I am not quite "tapped, but it definitely takes a bit more time these days. Thank you all very much, I have actually been turned on to and am enjoying some artists that I had never heard of.
Peace out.

I bow to thee. My musical knowledge is miniscule compared to yours. You (especially....with your HUGE music collection), Cookie Man, Scooterpie, and others, have turned me on to a lot of great music here.
