Erase my internet history on my pc, delete temporary files, and delete cookie.
Before it gets into the wrong hands.

Fantastic question. I've already told a co-worker: In the event of my death, take my computer and take as long as you need to sanitize it before delivering it to next-of-kin; if you're not able, destroy it and tell my next-of-kin it was given to him upon my death.

Or, you could set it to erase your history, cookies etc. each time you close your browser and log off. Others on here have commented on the new Mozilla Firefox browser, and its "private browsing" feature. I downloaded it and set it up to always be in the private browsing feature, and it seems to work great. I also set my McAfee security program to automatically clear cookies and the such. Now, nothing is perfect, or fool-proof, but I do what I can to sweep my tracks clean.

I have a hobby email address that I keep my bookmarks in a email. I always erase the browser history, cache, etc so there is no trace on my computer.

After surfin' a little while, I came across the general info that if your email account hasn't been accessed in 30 - 60 days, the server will go into the process of deleting it.

I highly recommend using Google Chrome Incognito feature, or Firefox Private Browsing feature, when looking at any porn or hobbying sites. It guarantees no tracks are left behind, so you don't have to do anything (and there's nothing to forget). So whenever you are going to look at a hobby site, just use Incognito or Private Browsing first and you are good to go.

Use a buried Firefox for the hobby, Got to dig to find it.
Remove it from the start menu after it is up.
Use Internet Explorer and SO uses Google Chrome for normal Day to day.

I have and HAVE had a designated friend for many years now to not only clean up my computer but to get rid of all my toys, photos, etc that I wouldn't want my family to find. You never know!

Any searches performed with Google will stay on their servers for 18 months.

As a very simple measure, I've also installed Mozilla Firefox, Opera, etc., and delete desktop shortcuts and Program File shortcuts to these browsers after installation so that to any "casual" computer user, it will appear MS Internet Explorer is the only browser used on that machine. Then when I need to surf "my sites," I use Explorer to go to Program Files, Mozilla Firefox, etc. and start my browser that way. It wouldn't hurt to use the settings identified above for security just in case someone discovers your added browsers.

Browser history, cookies and cache are not the only incriminating files that are hidden on your hard drive. If there was a death switch that would wipe your entire hard drive it would be useful.
