OK, A Show of Hands, Please...

Too many dopey threads on the 2020 election. Let's get back to reality.

We have a quarter million dead in eight and a half months. By the first of March (one year from when the rampage started) we are projected to have 400K dead. We are back up to 2K dying per day and we are accelerating.

So, does anybody STILL think the COVID pandemic is overblown?

Still think it is fake?

Still think it is just like the flu (maybe just a little worse)?

Still want to argue about whether or not COVID has shown exponential growth?

Still think the lockdown and social distancing were/are unnecessary?

Gnadfly? Freddy? Waco?

What a fucking disaster.

It's very real, and it's getting out of control for the third time. It is comforting to know that as of Jan 21,2021 we will finally have a competent leader to handle it.

That's how we look to the rest of the world. And half the country still wants him to keep his job. That's the reality. Beleive it or not.

Keep the following in mind:

1) Biden isn't competent. He wasn't competent before he had dementia either.

2) Biden has never proposed to do anything different than what Trump has already done. He just said "I'm gonna follow the science!" - whatever the hell that means.

3) NOBODY has a clue how to stop COVID. European countries have it worse than ever. They caught a break back in summer when people could spend more time outside - they have nice temperate summers. But Americans were spending more time inside in the air-conditioning to avoid the heat, so COVID rose rapidly. But that has changed now that winter is returning and Europeans are going back inside to stay warm. It remains to be seen how badly America does in the winter, but as of now it looks bad. COVID didn't hit the US in any significant numbers until February, near the end of winter, and Americans were going outside in the spring. But now we have hundreds of thousands of active cases at the START of winter. Hold on tight.

4) We may catch a break if the Pfizer vaccine works. But that was developed under Trump and Biden had nothing to do with that - although he may reap the credit.

Just hide in your basement and collect your government rations.

I lost my job due to the first lockdown and my unemployment application glitched the fuck out so I became an essential worker.

There's no hiding from this thing unless you're a privileged fuck.

I started a new remote job but I'm over this corona shit.

I guess I could hide now since I have a fancy remote job, but a lot of people don't have that luxury.

Would you? When was Biden diagnosed with dementia?

Sorry man, most of those dudes are out looking for voter fraud.

Don't you know, Dan Patrick is offering big bucks to anybody who can prove it.

History will not look kindly on this nation at this time. that's for sure.

Actually it was Trump that used the Obama playbook for Covid because there was no time go from scratch. Joe just say "I'll follow the science" because it appeases his followers.

COVID was in the US by last November 2019. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is a complete dumbass and doesn't understand the virus at all. Numbers now are probably double or more than what they are reporting
Pfizer is one vaccine, and not a good one at the moment. Others will be better but later

and Yes it is overblown. The Democrats politicized it, crucifying Trump and the American people as a result.

Then it began to grown rapidly, but almost entirely in NY, NJ, and New England, where the weather was still cold and people spent more time huddles in doors - or on mass transit in NY's case. But warm weather states like TX and CA where people drove cars and spent more time outdoors were spared initially. But that won't be the case this time since we are starting winter at a much higher point.

Why do you say Pfizer is not a good vaccine? First, it has only been tested in trials, not widespread use. Second, the reported effective rate is 90%. Most vaccines barely break the 50% mark. Assuming the vaccine really is that effective, it will be ground-breaking.
