I'm always amused when guys review ladies that I've seen, and they estimate their age to be 10-20 years younger than the lady actually is. I'm not sure if it's ignorance, or white knighting/promoting.

I suspect it is pure ignorance. American women "age" much faster. An Asian gal in her 40s often looks like an American gal in her late 20s. I suspect that a healthier lifestyle (low-fat diet, exercise, and no suntanning) is the key.
