What will it take to restore ECCIE to its former glory?

I registered on this site in 2019, but my understanding is this place was a very bustling and lively domain back in 2017 before FOSTA-SESTA was signed into law. Again, I don't profess to be an expert here, but it appears that membership numbers have been declining ever since.

One of the reasons I signed up here is they offered lifetime premium content access, which many other sites relating to this business do not.

Does anyone have any suggestions about breathing more life back into ECCIE?

We can start by electing Politicians who are Freedom of Choice friendly. The guy who signed Fosta-Sesta into law is adored my many on this Site.

On that note most politicians are the epitome of hypocrisy. They present themselves as religious do gooders who are pillars of the community. When was the last time you saw a member of the government get on TV and announce "Hey, I'm a d bag who cheats on my wife and uses tax payer money for personal expenses!" ? I'm not sure there are any indicators this will ever change, but you never know.

Nothing.

Eccie is a Web 1.0 forum website running on really ancient forum software. Due to government regulation, provider ads are disallowed and that makes it nearly impossible for providers and hobbyists to communicate. The only thing keeping it alive is that services like Reddit and Discord aren't structured to allow regional hobby chat conveniently. And other regional hobbyist boards have their own quirks. Plus, the moderator situation on escort subs is even more dire on Reddit than the situation here. Add to that the fact that the Eccie mobile site is both unsafe and functionally useless to use.

The whole hobby scene in Texas is being suffocated, slowly but surely, and Eccie is going down with it. Seeking has become a better option, especially for the high-end hobbyists.

So what would it take?
1. Modernization, with a focus on mobile use, anonymity, and security.
2. A practical way for providers and hobbyists to interact in a meaningful way.
3. Assertive moderation.
4. A search engine with flexible, regional search options, provider services, availabilities, and collated reviews, similar to P411 and AdultWork.
5. A set of killer features capable of pulling the SB-STA crowd back into the hobby.

None of those things are practical, at least not without a significant number of paid subscriptions to fund site development. Given how many people don't sign up for P411, which is the single best way to spend your hobby dollars outside of paying for an actual session, it seems unlikely the site can modernize and attract new members. On the other hand, gatekeeping the site behind a subscription is like to shrink the Eccie community further, rather than grow it.

I still consider Eccie to be a decent choice in deciding how I want to spend my money for the region I hobby in, but it and other boards like it, are dying out due to neglect, active hostility, and dramatic changes in the hobby economy. Something else will emerge to replace it or is already emerging in a way we don't currently recognize. We'll miss it when it's gone, but I don't know if it's worth putting in the effort to save it. The dwindling active membership shows that many other people have already come to that conclusion.

Eccle’s response to the current legal environment is a result of its own analysis of its own operating model and the potential impact of these federal and state laws. It’s an open site that derives revenue from member fees. Oh2 is a closed (sorta) site that doesn’t charge anyone fees for access. I believe the economic model in particular heavily influenced the decisions so far made by ownership of each site (are you really a “promoter” of P4P if you aren’t deriving revenue from advertising P4P?).

Unless and until some cases involving these kinds of sites get litigated under the statutes that have been enacted in recent years I don’t see anything that will return Eccie to its “glory days”.

Btw, I think where the owner of a site resides (not just where the site is hosted) also comes into play into at least some of these decisions. FOSTA/SESTA made it clear that the site could be hosted anywhere and you’d be in violation of the law (I’d like to see that aspect of the law in particular get challenged). It is quite possible the owners of some of these paid advertising sites aren’t as concerned because neither they nor their sites’ hosts are located here.

Interesting insights. With the current status, there is no WW in a local forum, but there is one in the main forum which is kinda stupid. Not having a WW forum in each locale does not allow for new to the hobby folks, especially providers, to get a running start. But, it does weed out all the WW trolls who sit in there waiting for a new girl to prey on, right mr. "king of reviewers"?

The current status of the site (no provider ads) also means that if you do not have any regulars, then it is very difficult to get new clients and new to you as far as going BCD with providers. You just have to go elsewhere for ads. But, if you have P411, it is good for both providers and hobbyists.

Oh, and if Eccie went back to allowing ad forums, posting pics in the ROS of reviews, ect. then like it was before the Eccie shut down that eliminated those forums, OH2 would not even be thought of.
Newer generation take things to social media. Reading from what is posted, look like things are changing and left with older generations here.
There are plenty of younger Dallas girls who do well on social. If you want youngns, get on board on social media.

I am getting messages or connection from overseas (Mexico, Colombia, CC, Australia, Korea) after a year.

There's plenty of Old ones that are in social media begging for $, that's a turn off for a lot of guys, get to P4P instead of begging from anything like lunch money to gifts.

They lost touch with reality like the bums on the streets begging for change, class went out the window long ago

You guys miss the glory days here, I say about 2015 we had a large selection of women that cared about customer service, showed and earned respect, there was new faces weekly and they kept coming..... Now things are different

I see plenty of young women complaining about lack of business, so I’m not sure traditional social media is adequately replacing traditional advertising outlets.

After all, what lady wants to suck dick and flat back for strangers all her life? Now, look at the ladies that have been active providers for decades...hint hint

And because customer service has been lost or they never had it to begin with, the lack of being able to market themselves to potential clients with grossly overpromising ads, all providers have now as contacts are who they have been with in the past. So that means that when they show disdain for a guy who pays for a service and/or gave shitty service thinking they can live off one time clients, and calling those guys back to come see them, those guys are going to laugh and hang up. The ones that took care of the clients are not worried at all about the lack of their phone not ringing or being able to place ads.

The only way really that it would take for ECCIE to regain it’s Glory Days is for it’s ownership to give the middle finger to the New Laws and put everything back the way it was. That will NEVER happen because they are not stupid enough to risk having every asset they have personally & professionally seized by the Feds like the former Backpage Group. It is ridiculous to think they would.
