New to the hobby - quick question

Hey everyone,

Just curious what are the chances of the police investigating an escort's phone if she was to be arrested and getting phone records of the John's? I've heard this doesn't usually happen that often however I'm paranoid of someone finding out if the person I saw ever got busted. Thanks in advance for your input.

Buy a throwaway phone at Walmart that you can load minutes on. Never use your real phone, name, or anything that can tie her or anyone else to you.
If she voluntarily gave them her password, they could look at texts and emails. The idea of forcing one to give up their password is winding its way through the courts now.

1. Get a burner phone
2. Use google voice

You will feel much less paranoid.

Sweet baby tebow, I told the OP in his National Co-ed thread that the Search tab is his friend, his only friend. And that ALL hobby questions can be answered by a Search. So much with him being smart enough to hobby ...

There are lots of reasons to use Google Vice or have a burner phone if you're a client, but, IMHO, legal risk is pretty far down the list. (I'm not a lawyer and don't even play one on TV.)

If your number were found in her phone, so what? You called a wrong number. Or even if you didn't, it's not against the law to call a prostitute.

Unless you' or she winds up dead or is involved in things we can't talk about here, the amount of effort necessary to 1) identify the owner of the phone that called her, 2) prove that it was you who made the call, and 3) prove that you or she offered or agreed in that conversation to commit an offense under the Texas prostitution law is almost prohibitive, IMHO, given that you're talking about a Class B misdemeanor that would likely result in probation for a conviction on the first offense. They might rattle your cage a little, but arrest and conviction based on a phone call seem pretty far-fetched.

A bigger problem is a pissed-off boyfriend or husband, who's not constrained by rules of evidence and may be willing to devote significant resources to figuring out who's banging his girlfriend/wife (even if it's half of Dallas County). I once spent a few uncomfortable days hoping I had successfully defused one such cuckolded fellow, who was ex British special forces and who heard a voicemail I'd left for his fiance. He thought I was the only one; little did he know that she had another boyfriend and was quite the popular escort, too. I told him I'd met her at her RW job, that we were just friends, and that I was harmlessly flirting with her. That seemed to work. Whew.

The main reason I really worry about this is because I feel it's only a matter of time before she gets caught - the person in particular has been running a scam to rob would-be John's in the area. Because of this, I think it really depends when she messes with the wrong person or gets reported that shit is going to go down. Granted, I would hope local LE would place a greater emphasis on robbery than solicitation, I can't be too sure. I've already blocked her number and warned others in the area.

Do you think the chances of my texts/calls being caught decreases as the days go by? I'm already contemplating changing my number - I'm just kind of shook at the moment.

Definitely change your number and do like everyone says....get a burner phone you use for hobbying.

If your not sure on how to setup a burner phone find a cel phone repair shop in an Asian or Hispanic neighborhood walk in tell the guy you want an untraceable phone he will hook you up in a straight cash deal no ID card no name needed.

Use the search function to search the Dallas forum for "hobby phone". There have been many threads in the past.

A lot of guys advocate Google Voice, but personally I don't trust Google as far as I can throw them. Buy a TracFone at WalMart using cash, not credit card. Buy minutes refill cards with cash. When you register it, don't use any computer that can be connected to you (I suggest a courtesy computer at the service department of your car dealer, or something like that.).

Even if you do all that, there's always the risk that you call a lady who has been flipped by LE. I don't recall hearing any stories like this, but it's a risk so read the Alerts Forum and watch out. If in doubt, trust your gut feeling.

Oh, and you might consider signing up for P411. Again, no guarantee but another level of protection.

First, LEO dosen't look into a hooker's phone because just a number in the phone doesn't PROVE you are paying for pussy.
In general in Texas If they can prove you named an Act and Price that's your ass.
Never mention act or price especially in text messages which NEVER go away completely.
Get a hobby phone.
Thanks for the advice, I'm definitely getting a hobby phone. My concern is that I asked about price for time, but I didn't mention any specific acts, just time. If I didn't explicitly say anything, should I be okay? And what are the chances LE actually decides to track down former Johns?
Also I want to point out this happened a few weeks ago.

Which, this happens all the time with stalking/harassment cases and individuals involved in contraband. All in all, nothing is fullproof as there is no way to remain completely anonymous thanks to big brother and the homeland security act.

If you want to sleep a little better at night, I suggest keeping all communications non-incriminating as you possibly can. Before texting/emailing/PM'ing a provider, ask yourself, "Could this be printed out and used against me in court?"
