Closed threads

Well I see nothings changed. A little back and forth brings out some truth and "poof" that thread is closed.

Threads should be allowed to die natural deaths. When people lose interest the thread will die naturally. Closing threads because the OP requested or there is activity is bush league.
There's always a new thread

If I have missed one that you are referring to, clue me in (and maybe you could include a link when you raise things like this). But I say this one because as far as I can tell from a VERY brief check of the Upstate section, it is maybe the ONLY thread closed for at least 10 days, and probably a lot more.

So assuming for the moment, it IS the thread that got you motivated to post this.....

"brings out some truth?" Really? The thread degenerated into a piece of shit. Not that it was ever very good or helpful to begin with. The issue probably could have been handled privately much better, but people get caught up in the moment. So the staff let it go for awhile. And though I am not the one that "closed" this, I had debated it. Because it had become worthless.

But like whosdair said, you can always open another thread if you've still got something to say about it.

Threads are very rarely closed in the Upstate section. I think I have only closed a few this year. And it is because they were things like tiresome flaming or threads posted by "fake" members with an agenda. And if the OP requests it (which is rare), we accommodate if it is reasonable.

I think we are pretty tolerant here. There are things that are "mandatory" that we must stop (prohibited substances, under-age). We are encouraged by Upper Management to NOT close threads, and I think we follow that guideline pretty well.

if shes tough enough to be comfortable with "posting anything on a billboard or the front page of the NY Times", she should be able to handle keeping a little ole threAD open..seems like common sense or just taking her word for it

wouldnt taking what a woman says seriously be the highest form of respect?

its funny that even after a gal can make this proclamation out of one side of her mouth untill it gets alittle too realistic then she complains that she understands why no women ever post out of the other side of her mouth mainly just as a form to attack the male posters and clamour for some WK to come scoup her up

this place is fascinating to watch
Well she is only 26, I meant 27. So young
