Small plane Toronto to Kingston refuel to go back to Toronto gets lost(ya right) flys over Ginna(no fly zone) does not see airport in Willamson. Lands in rochester with no radio contact. Not USA or Candian citizens. But citizens of India, in there 20's. AND THEY LET THEM GO. Give me a break. But they got a new scanner in Rochester Airport to see grandma and pa nude to make sure they are ok.

I have been boating the Lake Ontario for many years. I have been in small airplane's near the lake. You have to work hard to get lost.
I can see missing the Willamson Airport as it is a tiny thing but missing the fact that you have crossed the border, that you are obviously too close to a power plant and that you just show up and land at a commercial airport without any contact something just isn't right. Didn't these guys have a cell phone or GPS (or cell phone with GPS) that they could of called the authorities on?
Hey Guys- As an attorney, it's illegal in the USA to fly in from another country without
filing a flight plan and making arrangements in advance for USA customs&INS to clear
the plane and its inhabitants. It's also illegal to ignore ATC and arbitrarily land at a
commercial airport. without first gaining the requisite clearance to do so.

(2) Ginna Nuclear Power Plant. The waters of Lake Ontario bounded by the following area, starting at 43°16.9' N, 077°18.9' W; then north to 43°17.3' N, 077°18.9' W; then east to 43°17.3' N, 077°18.3' W; then south to 43°16.7' N, 077°18.3' W; then following the shoreline back to starting point (NAD 83).

Well I found where not to go boating. But can not find where not to fly. This was not easy to find. Guess we are to just to know better.

My GPS on my boat is old. The last time I could update the chart was before 2001. But it still works good. Plotted the points on my GPS shows that I have been within the zone per some old trip track lines. But not by very much. I do know some guys that have boated well with in the zone. And did have to answer to the coast guard/homeland for it. No one got busted for it. One person I know acted like a ass. And now is not allowed to clear trip log on his GPS. They do it for him. I think this may be the last year, for being a good boy.

I know many boaters have gotten away with it for sure. But I know a few that did not. And had to talk to them. So I am still having a hard time with why some one not from the the US or Canada got to walk away so fast. After flying with in what ever the restricted zone is, with a small airplane. And then landing in one without contacting.

Before 2001 I use to love to go fishing in the boating restricted zone.
