You're not Rambo. Watch as these CCL holders encounter a 'gunman' and proceed to shit the bed.

I relayed this story a couple of months ago on this Forum. I had stopped at the local Mexican Chicken place on the way home from work. As I was getting in my truck, 4 young Black Men were strolling down the sidewalk. One approached me, and asked for some money. I declined, and his reply was, "hey old man, why you gotta be that way.

This kid could not have been a day over 19, but I had a bad feeling, and had already reached in my truck's console and had my hand on the revolver I carry there. He said something else, and one one of his friends said, "hey, leave that old dude alone".

He did, and they continued down the street.

But, to this day, I still am very thankful that this did not escalate. I have never been one to back down from anything, but I also shudder at the thought of having to shoot someone.

Pretty smart! It effectively reduces the chance of you saying something stupid to whatever percentage of your post isn't directly quoted from someone else.

As some one with a cc permit, please don't allow yourself to be suckered by this obvious to discredit holders of the permit. I pray God that I never have to shoot someone but I would have on several occasions if the other perpetrator had not stopped his actions...the first time was when some younger dude kicked in the door of my apartment.

We are not a group of college students, some of us have a little more life experience from the military etc.
I can assure you that I will not shit my pants and my friends and I have more experience than a lecture with our firearms Again I pray to God that I never have to shoot anyone but conversely practice in case I do.

As it stands, I can walk into a store, buy a gun, spend an hour shooting it and walk out being one of the "holders of the permit". Just because you have the proper training doesn't mean that everybody who is currently able to get a permit has it as well.

I agree, much more training is needed across the board......But the Assertion that one hour of training is all you need for a CCW is ridiculous...In my state it is a two day class for new holders and a one day class to renew. Anything less and the laws should be changed immediately.

Interesting ......but it wasn't a very scientific study nor was it proof of anything.

Btw ..I use a sawed off double barreled 12 gauge Coach Gun made by Kalashnikov. Very intimidating.

Just think for a minute the kind of steal you must have to saw off someone's head.. You'd have to be an animal to do something like that.
