First time visit to Chicago from California with my friend. Best restaurants in town ?

I’m visiting from California for a week soon with my friend Alexi and was interested in knowing some of the best food spots around the area. I love everything from fine dining to hole in the wall/authentic places. What are some of the best around??
We have also never experienced authentic Chicago style pizza so any suggestions on the best place to be a first ?
