Manicure & Pedicure for men

A few years ago there was a thread on manicures and pedicures for guys (started by DallasRain?). I’ve been tempted for awhile to have that done but I’ve balked at waking in cold to some random place. I’m not looking for the “wink, wink” service (can get that elsewhere, but it would be a bonus ). Just looking for at least slightly friendly gal (prefer Asian) who can do a reasonable job for a fair price. I almost walked into a place once and then I saw there was an Asian guy doing the nails, part of why I’ve balked. I just don’t want a guy doing mine. I know of at least one man’s haircut place that does these but I shave my head so...

Anyone have a specific recommendation on a gal/place they’d share up North? Preferably in Plano, Frisco, McKinney areas.

I get them. Every time it is always a woman that performs the service. Suck it up man, just do it. It feels awesome; arm, hand, and finger massage. Pay the extra and get your fingernails buffed.

Ladies really appreciate super smooth clean fingers and nails around their naughty areas.

Oscar Nails, SW corner of McDermott and 75 next to Subway. The place I used to go changed ownership and they referred me to this place. I've been there twice for pedicure and they did a decent job. I just get the basic pedicure, no need for the deluxe version (extras, but not the kind we usually talk about here).

If that place doesn't work for you, there's literally a nail salon at every major intersection and they're almost all Vietnamese. They're used to seeing an occasional guy come in, so no big deal. Once you have it done you'll never want to trim them yourself again.

I can personally recommend Hawaiian nail bar and Dallas nail bar (both off beltline in north Dallas and Addison) if you go to dallas nail bar ask for Rose to do your pedicure. Her massage skills are on point!!

Billw- any gal in particular at Oscar you like? That place would be pretty convenient. How much does it usually cost?

No, no one in particular. The first time I went there they gave me a lady that came over from my old place. The next time I just took luck of the draw. If you decide to go there you might just try who they give you the first few times until you find someone you like.

A basic pedicure should be in the $25-$30 range, plus I usually tip $5. They have extra deluxe versions that are more. You can ask at the desk. And if you want a manicure also that will add maybe $10-$15, but I'm not sure because I never get one.

I've been warned by my physician to take special care of my feet. It doesn't seem to matter if it is winter or summer, my feet get dry; and if I don't tend to them they will crack. I get a pedicure about once a month. Not only do they feel amazing afterwards (no more achy or sore feet) but they don't feel like a brick being scraped across bedsheets.

My feet could use some pampering/care for sure, though no Doctor’s orders. Could foresee that in my future though.

It’s part of why I don’t want to walk in cold - I’ve heard some of the places are unsanitary and don’t follow proper procedures leading to infections in feet and hands.

Nothing better than a good pedicure and manicure treatment.

Both men and women need to take care of their feet. EVERY time I go for nails and toes there is always a guy or two there. Sometimes with a lady, sometimes solo. It's relaxing and feels so good. I always do a deluxe pedi that includes hot stone massage and hot paraffin treatment. Aahhhmazing!

Getting a pedicure while getting a hand job might be the ultimate experience
