Hey there everyone!

Now I have been reading the series over and over again for many years (gotta love when you have to wait 15years for another book haha) and have been itching for them to do something on screen with it...

Has anyone seen the movie yet? Thoughts???

Have and awesome day!

Well, I just heard that there were books and do plan on reading them.

Unfortunately I don't think there was enough buzz about the movie that they will continue with more than the first movie.

The action was AWESOME.

Acting was on point.

But seats were easy to get, and I don't think too many people know much about it.

I saw,it, and loved it. It only cost $60M to make, and made back $20M in its first weekend. Hopefully they make more. The first story was probably the hardest to tell. Have to introduce the whole DT world, and a LOT of the characters, and still be entertaining.

Having read the books I found the movie to be somewhat disappointing. Went away from the theater wishing I had seen Wonder Woman instead.
You just can't fit all the books in one movie.

Oh I knew the movie was going to be a far cry from the books.. its hard to fit nearly 7000 pages into a 95min movie... They are doing a series on (MRC) but it will have Idris Alba as Roland and go into more about his childhood and past.

"which will take place many years before the events depicted in the film, focusing on Roland’s origin story- how he first became a gunslinger and got his guns, his first conflict with the man in black, his first love and his first mission as a gunslinger."

They did have some nice little touches in the movie that you got if you read the books.. other things left me upset that they didn't explain or have it in there. But we will see...

I do have a couple sweet little High Speech Tattoos

It was alright it's not an adaptation of the books but a sequel of the books. If you look at Rolands backpack he is carrying the horn of eld.
Having read the books, comics, shorts and everything else associated with the gunslinger, this movie looks too much removed from the storyline. I am really disappointed by the looks of it and will probably wait till it's pin tv. Pretty depressing actually because I've been waiting for this movie for almost 10 years now.

I actually enjoyed it and I have read all the books too. They tried to make a movie for people that have not read all the books. Not sure how they will proceed from here if they do make enough for a sequel.
I am a huge fan of the books and have yet to see the movie. Unfortunately, the reviews I have read dissuaded me from seeing the movie. I want to see Mid World and Roland brought to life (I have been impatiently waiting on them to make a DT movie/series for so long) but I also do not want to be severely disappointed. I will probably see it, just wish the film was garnering better buzz.
