REPORT: Whistleblower Demands Investigation Into Biden's Nuclear Drag Queen Hiring Process, Alleging ‘Substantial Irregularities’.

A Department of Energy employee has reportedly alleged that the agency allowed “substantial irregularities” to influence its hiring process of Samuel Brinton, a controversial appointee whose work as a drag queen and LGBTQ+ activist has come under scrutiny.
.
.
.
On February 2nd, an anonymous Department of Energy (DOE) whistleblower sent a letter to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Deputy Inspector General Norbert Vint, alleging that “prohibited personnel practices” were utilized in tapping Brinton for the position of Deputy Assistant Secretary for Spent Fuel and Waste Disposition.

“Undue political influence and preferences were applied” at the DOE to select Brinton for the position, which the employee also alleged Brinton was was potentially unqualified to hold, the letter claims.

“There is concern that making personnel selection decisions for career positions based on political considerations and gender-fluid identity as means of exerting political influence over the workforce, and at the expense of other better qualified candidates, is not the intent of the U.S. civil service laws or the U.S. constitution,” continued the letter, signed by a “Long serving public servant at the U.S. Department of Energy.”

You will have to google the story yourself as there are other details included that would violate site rules

You people can’t stop telling on yourselves. Brinton is an MIT-trained nuclear engineer who most recently served as director of legislative affairs at a nuclear waste disposal company. He was hired as a GS-11, which is a mid-level staffer. He is eminently qualified for that position. I can’t believe we’re having an actual conversation about someone hired as a fucking GS-11, but the way he looks drives a bunch of old bigots crazy.
I think it’s reasonable to question the mental health of this individual.

I’m not a mental health professional, and I’m sure most people who are would not venture to make a diagnosis based on a person’s appearance. But, the complaint was never about this persons mental health. It was about their qualifications. Just say you don’t like their appearance, and don’t feel they should hold mid-level government positions. You won’t because you realize how ridiculous and bigoted that is.

Yeah I don’t find it bigoted whatsoever… that’s a typical response by the left to justify their ridiculous behavior. The guy isn’t a good representation for a professional position. Plain and simple.

All allegations, zero evidence. Again, whistleblowing is the presentation of privileged evidence from an insider. This is an allegation from an anonymous party, and thus not worth the paper it’s written on. An actually whistleblower would name names and provide dates. There would be documents, quotes, and a paper trail.

As to documents / paper trails - do you even understand how personnel practices / hiring policies work. Those documents are kept confidential
... This is a GREAT crackerjack thread!

But El-Mo surely got a few good points also!

The "drag" fellow may look and act like a goof,
but that alone don't make him bad for the job.

But let the officials LOOK at the hiring practices
- to ensure that it WAS above-board.

What could be more fair than that?
