The Eagles Desperado and Lyin' Eyes

Now that I'm older and understand things more and I listen to this song and read the lyrics again, 50 years later, this is really a very sad and depressing song about a young girl with misplaced feelings and intentions





This one, IMO, is about a man who will forever be alone if he doesn't change his ways and opens himself up to let his queen in.

Desperado is amazingly the first song Don Henley wrote with Glen Frey. Hell of a debut effort. Wrote Tequila Sunrise the same week.

Lyin’ Eyes was written about sugar babies at Dan Tana’s.

I Google Dan Tana's and found an Italian restaurant in West Hollywood.


They been around for 58 years.
