As I indicated in an earlier posting my grandson just started doctor school at KUMED last week. When he walked in the door and sat down in his first class of that day he was/is ALREADY $57K, that is $57,000, in debt! His parents and this grand parent are not in a position to shell out that kind of cash-o-la to help. Needless to say, he needs help!
Anyway, I come up with an idea to help. Not enough to pay on the debt, barely enough to put gas in the car but as the saying goes . . . "every little bit helps".
I have the Wally World app. With it you can scan Wal Mart receipts or physically tap receipt numbers into their system where they check surrounding stores for lower prices and Wally World will give you the difference. Like I said, not big bucks by any stretch.
My GFI (good fucking idea) is to solicit you all to send me your Wal Mart receipt numbers when you git them! There are time and receipt constraints. One can only submit 1 receipt a day and, I think, the receipt can not be older than 3 days.
I'm sure those of you more paranoid than me (tall order) are concerned about privacy. Fear not!! If you have the app yourself you know there is NO customer information displayed in the app of who bought what. NOTHING, NADA!!!
As I type my grandson does not have the app. He's going to get it today. I do have the app. I don't know about my son or daughter (grandson's mother) or other family members. So as it stands now I can receive one receipt and within the next day or three my grandson can receive one. That's 14 a week.
My intention is to pass along my "savings" a couple times a year and my family members will do the same. At the same time I will txt your receipt numbers to him (and whoever else), if they go over the 7 limit per app per week, so that in the ideal world he can hopefully have a hundred or three to take care of some small expenses over the span of a year.
Not expecting an overwhelming response to this posting but I do hope a couple of you can help a grand parent be something of a hero to his kid's kid.
Thanks a lot for at least reading all this!
