I know this is done to make an ad stick out.

To me this is the writing style equivalent of steel fingernails on a chalkboard.

'Viders do you think this type of stuff gets more response than just plain text?

In my case, what is being said in the ad is much more important that what font is used.

'Course it also makes my old ass eyes squint tryin to read it which is also annoying.

It's not even attractive anymore nor does it stick out because everyone does it. But for me it's less appealing anyway.

It's like being a commoner (ie. advertiser who only knew of backpage). Now she comes to Eccie or other boards. It's like joining the Royal Family. There's a certain protocol that should now occur.

It's like being out in the jungle all your life. You've lived wild there. Now you've joined a community. It's like becoming a part of society. It requires manners and "some" level of class.

It's like a pre-teen girl. She goes to charm school (aka...her transition to the boards)....to have her Debutante ball. It's her COMING OUT moment. She's becoming a woman of more substance. She needs to show it.

It's like living in a country (backpage) where things are done one way (Excessive Text BLING). She comes to a new land (the Boards). When in Rome, do as the Romans do. She needs to do what's normal and preferred here on most communities and boards she's on.
It should be illegal.

I cannot express how much I loathe those who type like that.

It reminds me of those blinking strobe lights that are known to give seizures...."Backpage Font" as I like to call it, seems like it could have the same effect as a strobe light.

I asume it is a gimmick and it makes me wonder what other gimmicks they are using. No trust so I will never respond to one.

It's usually younger providers who type like this, so I chalk it up to exuberant youth. Now, when 30 year old and older ladies do it, I just want to throw up in my mouth
