If you're in a hotel room travelling you could always play "what's that stain?" Buy a small black light and search every inch of the room. Walls, floor, ceiling, phone, each sheet, mattress, couch, etc. hours of nauseating fun.

Ad to the CSI factor by having a few Petri dishes, swab a sample and see what cultures grow.
