running off newbies

I know I am stating the obvious here but this board has a way of allowing the bullies to run off newbies. I have seen it in both male and female newbies. the pack mentality is intimidating and the way you guys attack a new guy's reviews is questionable and a form of bullying too. It is my opinion that the new folks need to be coddled and helped to fit in so they will stay around. it behooves both sides to have fresh blood coming in here. the current atmosphere here is caustic and rude and the newbies of both sexes often do not stay here long. I used to try to get my new guys who never heard of this site to join and write me a review and join our community. no longer do I tell new folks of either sex about this site because of the hostility and incivility that is tolerated and even encouraged here. the pack mentality is bringing this site down to a base level where new folks take one look and say no thanks and move on. how can we make newbies of both sexes feel welcome and safe and want to participate? #1 don't be mean and rude.
I think we could have more participate and join in on the fun jokey banter.

With less little battles going on from thread to thread we can keep them contained to a few and try to resaturate coed with more of what everyone is looking for.

If we do it well we can drown out the noise and get our entertaining and information on.

Even though I think the battle threads have proven to be viewed more and generate more interest; if people got off the sidelines and played a little ball we can all exercise our minds/humor and drop all this weight.

Over all, if you can't hang... Bub-bye Lol!

They're(not speaking of anyone in particular here) always going to try to run off the new guys, and hammer their/our reviews, because if a newbie came around that wasn't inimidated by their bullshit, then the ranks of men who will speak out against them, and call them on their bratty behavior, grows. It's possible, I suppose, that they got their first few reviews sneered at by assholes like them, and are either "getting back at the world", or are just dense enough to think that's the way it's supposed to be. They feel very important because they have a high post count/review count, and thinks this makes them special and exempt from society's standard of behavior. And, like so many in so many places on the internet, they feel safe spewing their venom here, where they wouldn't in public because some real man with manners might punch their fuckin lights out. I see it all the time. Hell, we all do. I know it's cliche to say, but I can't keep from feeling sorry for them, because the more they get away with behaving this way, the more socially retarded and incapable of interacting with people who aren't being paid to pretend to enjoy their company. But they won't be running this noob off.
Yeah, if you're, as I once was, newer and newbie friendly you are going to get guys calling quack on your reviews at first. Once you keep on truckin' and show and prove your contributions to the community the clan will back off. Often times they are right when calling a quack review so of course they won't stop.

Hopefully the newbie guy's aren't joining this site to get approval from a hand full of guys who might be skeptical of his posts in the beginning. Hopefully he can just shake it off and keep doing his thing and show he is an actual member willing to participate and provide content and truthful info.
Hopefully.

Otherwise, well...

Jasmine, I think you are 100% correct. The welcoming voices have to speak up. Then the new folks .ca Dec for themselves if they are interested in hanging with the laid back group, the cool group, the boyz club, or the I'm just Looking For A Good Time group. If all can coexist without attacking each other then there is a greater likelihood that a new member will find a place they feel they belong and want to be.

I think we could have more participate and join in on the fun jokey banter.

Additionally, I think the tendency to trash a new guy's first review goes a lot farther than Texas. Same with a lady's first review, especially if not written by a long standing reviewer.

There are two ladies I am thinking of who are both as flawless as I can comprehend. Each of them had a stellar review for their first one, and in both cases by guys who were not new, but neither were they ever frequent posters. Two different parts of the country, neither in Texas.

In both cases the local alpha males jumped on the review, the reviewer, and the lady in question. They accused the reviewer of being her pump, of being blind (as in "she is too fat, it's ridiculous to say she is good looking), etc.

Turns out the first lady became the most highly reviewed escort in that major city and achieved goddesslike status. The other has five years or so of 100% glowing reviews--including one from the guy who a couple years prior said she was too fat to be good looking (having seen her, anyone who thinks she is fat needs serious eye surgery).

It is sort of like when the alpha male gets engaged, all his minions think his fiance retroactively became a virgin.

In any community of this size, you will have douches. Anyone who has been on the Internet for more 10 minutes better grow a set and put their big boy/big girl panties on.

Most of the douches attack and lash out to try an assert themselves so they can feel special; they tear down others in the virtual world to build themselves up. Here is how you deal with the douches:

I tend to just ignore the douches. This has a tendency to aggravate them more because they are just looking for banter. They are living at home with mom, have lots of time, no money and a large supply of Equate jelly. They can't even get a fat chick from Craig's list with 6 kids to do them. That frustration gets vented here in between wanking sessions.

I simply try and avoid the mean stuff and pay it no mind. It's unproductive and wastes my time in pursuit of what this place is all about.
