Why don't more providers supply client references?

It's been my observation that the vast majority of escorts ask for previous provider references during their screening/verification process.

Please pray tell, why not many of these same providers are willing to furnish client references when requested by another established escort?

It's a win-win for all of us, and makes no sense to me.
I've never had a problem giving a reference.
Even have a I GIVE REFERENCES banner on my website.

But, when you find out please let me know
I don't either Denver! I always willingly provide references upon request. Albeit I didn't have a banner on my website until now (lol). I hope you don't mind that I copped it :-)
You are more than welcome to the banner, any legit provider is welcome to it as long as she really gives honest references. I don't mind at all
I am very reference friendly!! Pet peeve is when the lady doesn't give me her information and I have to research her to see if she is legit. If I cannot find her, I contact the client to see if he is requesting her company.

If a provider does not respond or give a reference - I tell the client and let him decide what he thinks about her. To me, it doesn't reflect well on her.

Lately, I've used a provider and she contacted the client within minutes after giving the reference saying that he needs to book her as well. Not undercutting me, but to me it isn't kosher. She did that with another client about a year ago. One thought it was funny, the other was pissed.
I have come to the conclusion that this is the problem.

The client is seeing someone else. This means that they, are not getting his money. So that little green monster comes out. And it is the prissy little high school crap all over again.

I ran across a provider that says for newbies. I will not give you an ok, till you have seen me twice. But I will give you a ref. I don't think that is fair. But thats her policy, she is welcome to do it. That is the American way.

Just not going to see me.
Some providers may be overwhelmed with pm's and request so references are last on their priority list. I know I have sent a couple of pm's or emails to providers that went unanswered until they got into town and by that time I had moved to plan B. So I can imagine an extended time frame for replying back to another provider.

So lack of TCB skills could be one answer. (For alot of things actually)
Just like TheSearcher said, it's the prissy high school crap. Jealous, possessive, immature, insecure, lacks ambition/drive, in serious need of a crash course on successful business practices... These are just a few characteristics of the types of providers who require provider references, yet refuse to provide said references themselves. That's why many ladies don't rely on references alone. There are other ways to verify a gentleman. If a guy really wants to see you and they know you're meeting resistance in the verification process, there are ways to work around it. Besides that, there's always P411 and DateCheck.
Once in a blue moon I'd buy that reasoning. But, not every time, especially when you've called and emailed both.

They could actually be losing even more money than just the reference seeking client. If they act snooty to one provider, chances are high they're doing it to others as well.

If a provider is busy, she often tries to refers clients. Needless to say, this won't be happening if you've pissed them off.

I hate the girls that do that shit. I have a list of girls that never returned my reference request and I will never return the favor for them either. You'd be surprised how long that list is!

As far as the other provider you mentioned, I don't think that's an ethical business practice either. I'd be pissed too.
